5I love this thing!
By Luv2BinCali
I searched for an efficient economical way to rescue the 1000's of negatives that my family has amassed since the 1960's. Since receiving the Veho VFS-008 Smartfix just two weeks ago, I have literally scanned over 2000 negatives. Some of the negatives were just lousy to start with, but I can clean them up with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, Paintshop, and Corel Paintshop. The results are spectacular and I am scouring for more negatives to scan. I have scanned 35mm and 110 negatives and slides. I have even been able to scan other odd size negatives with the 35mm tray by tweaking it just a little. I was impressed with the packaging of this product and ease of use. I highly recommend it to anyone who has lots of negatives or slides to digitize and memories to uncover. I did switch out the SD card that is included for a larger 2GB card.

4Veho Scanner

The slide holder takes only 3 at a time so is a little tedious to use, but it does a great job scanning the slides. I used other software to edit the photos because I was more familiar with the program and was very satisfied with the results.

3Poor Brightness adjustment
By potluckman
Purchased to scan approximately 1600 110 negatives from J&R. Scanner is fairly well built and scans fine with one exception, all my scans come out rather dark requiring
I pull every single scan into provided software to lighten up. Incredibly tedious. Otherwise the color and contrast and detail are very good. Emailed Veho asking if way
to change the setpoint that scanner uses to adjust brightness and received no answer to either email. Also emailed J&R asking for suggestions or a way to batch adjust the scanned files
and received no response other than a automated email saying they would contact me. Unless you already plan on adjusting every picture you scan which I really did not need to, I would
avoid this unit. My experience is that both seller and manufacturer have poor customer service.
